Live Streaming Information and Consent

All dockets at the Austin Municipal Court are open to the public. Scheduled virtual dockets will be streamed live (via YouTube) to meet the same legal requirements of open court proceedings. Images of the youth defendant and parent/guardian (presence is required if defendant is age 16 or younger) will be electronically displayed via the Internet during this time. All video recordings of the live stream on the court's YouTube channel will be deleted by the court immediately following the hearing.*

If the judge rules that the hearing will be live-streamed, you have the options of allowing the hearing to be live-streamed or you can wait until the court reopens and attend a traditional in-person hearing at that time.
