ABOUT THE FRIENDS IN GARDENING AWARD
The Friends in Gardening (FiG) Award was developed by the Central Texas School Garden Network as a way to honor and appreciate a school garden volunteer that consistently goes above and beyond to care for their school’s garden. We encourage you to nominate your school garden superstar: the person who gets there early and stays late on clean-up days, who is always looking for ways to engage students in the garden, who would happily talk to you about the pH content of soil as long as you would let them!
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATIONS
Know someone who deserves the FiG Award? Complete this form by Monday, April 22, 2024, for consideration. All nominees will be reviewed by a committee from the Central Texas School Garden Network to choose a winner. The FiG Award winner will be given the coveted Golden Gnome trophy, with their name and school engraved on the front, as well as a $50 Central Market gift card.
